The mill Antico Mulino Ibleo was born in 1947. This firm works continuously, successfully and with expansion in milling industry, thanks to the organisation and professional approach with customers.
Located in one of the most strategic places of the Province of Ragusa, in direct contact with some wheat producers, Antico Mulino Ibleo has always committed to finding the best qualities of durum wheat. All stages of cleaning and milling of the Sicilian durum wheat are subjected to specific attention. Artisanal manufacturing is favoured and the miller becomes key figure of the production process, until finished product.
It is for these reasons that Antico Mulino Ibleo offers to customers, even more demanding in the search for traditional flavours, a product of high quality that found also appreciation abroad. This contributes divulging and reinforcing the identity in the agrifood chain of Iblea area.
We select Sicilian durum wheat GRAIN FOR GRAIN.
Our mill is equipped with 13 silos for the wheat storage. They’re provided with ventilation system and automatic temperature adjustement, by guaranteeing constantly organoleptic qualities of the wheat. This storage equipment allows to obtain the wheat directly by producers. The wheat will be selected and carefully mixed. Thus, when the wheat is entered into the mill, it is immediately checked to decide the acceptance. Afterwards, all the production process in monitored following HACCP plans. The finished product is analysed at regular intervals by a analytical laboratory accredited ACCREDIA, which assists Antico Mulino Ibleo. After approval by the quality control, the product will be packaged and delivered.
